Hi Clara! Congratulations on the blog. Be careful though... blogging can be addictive and may keep you from your school work! Here's one of my favorite out gay athletes: http://geekporngirl.com/2009/12/21/why-im-now-a-rugby-fan/

Hi!

This seems to be a very nice blog. =)

However, I'm sorry to inform you about this, but Manuel Neuer did not, in fact, come out. Personally I would love a german soccer player to come out, but he did only say that he would support anyone who comes out and that the fans would accept it, too, in time. There are several other soccer players in Germany who have said similar things (Mario Gomez, Thomas Müller) - all national players as well - and as far as I know even Theo Zwanziger, the president of the german soccer association, has said that he would support athletes coming out.
Of course, there are still people in soccer who would highly recommend gay athletes to stay in the closet (like Tim Wiese or Phillip Lahm).

Uhm, now I am sorry about my bad writing! Of course Manuel Neuer said he would support gay athletes who come out, not me! ;)

Hi Maria, and thanks for visiting my blog, first of all! ^^

Really? I read in some websites (and even in the newspaper, here!) that Manuel Neuer came out! That's strange... I don't know if it's true or not, then! Anyway whether it's true or not, it's always good that athletes say what they think regardless what others might say. I'm sorry if that was wrong, though!

I hope you enjoy this blog. Thanks, again, for visiting. Hope to see you around ;)

I'm pretty sure he didn't come out, because I read the interviews in german (which is my native language).
I also read that there had been a major missunderstanding and that several south american newspapers and websites had published wrong translations of his statements.
